SERVO Stool sample collector
Description of stool specimen collector
Modern flush toilets make it very difficult to obtain uncontaminated stool samples. In addition to the effect of water, toilet cleaners or fragrance additives in the toilet water can distort the results. SIEMENS Ketostix
The Siemens Ketostix test strips are used for visual and instrument-based urine analysis. Readings can be carried out with Clinitek 50, 500, Clinitek Status and Clinitek Advantus. Thanks to the clear colour change, which occurs even with minor pathological changes, the test strips are very accurate and easy to read. The comparison scale ensures easy interpretation of the results. The test strips have a test pad that simply needs to be dipped into the urine. Ketones can form in cases of severe insulin deficiency. In the event of a pronounced deficiency, fats are broken down; the resulting waste products are referred to as ketones/acetone. These substances are then excreted in the urine. Diabetics who are suffering from an infection are particularly at risk. For diabetics, it is recommended to check urine regularly using the Ketostix test strips.
