Battery notice​

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obligated to inform you of the following:

You are legally obligated to return used batteries as a final user. You can return old batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries free of charge to our shipping warehouse (mediparts GmbH, Hünenbergstraße 157, 46147 Oberhausen).

In connection with the sale of vehicle batteries, we are obligated, as far as you are a consumer according to § 10 BattG, to charge a deposit of 7.50 euros including VAT for each vehicle battery if you do not return an old vehicle battery at the time of purchasing a new vehicle battery. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and will be displayed alongside the final price on the item.

If you return a used vehicle battery to us that we carry or have carried in our range as a new battery according to § 9 BattG, we are obligated under the legal regulations to take it back free of charge and refund the deposit amount. As far as we have issued a deposit label in accordance with § 10 Abs. 1 Sentence 3 BattG, the refund of the deposit upon return of the used vehicle battery is dependent on the return of the deposit label.

The return location is the address listed in the imprint.

Returning the old battery by mail is not permitted due to hazardous materials regulations.

Used vehicle batteries can also be dropped off for free at recycling and waste collection centers. The deposit we charge is not refunded by the public recycling and waste collection centers. However, you have the option to have the return of the used vehicle battery confirmed on the deposit receipt. Upon presenting the confirmed deposit receipt, you will receive the battery deposit back from us.
