With a silicone grip on the steel blade, which is only a few millimetres long, Microlet lancets are very easy to use. The lancets are also only long enough to pierce just the outer horny layer of the skin and not penetrate deeper into the epithelium – this means the blood sample is obtained with a pinpoint puncture and without pain.
