MortellaroVet ProBiotic is designed to reduce claw problems promoted by putrefaction, such as Mortellaro, by means of care and hygiene.

Mortellaro and other problems caused by putrefaction are encouraged by an unhealthy, rotting stable microflora. MortellaroVet ProBiotic strengthens the aerobic microbial flora, which naturally makes putrefaction more difficult and/or displaces it. As a result, the hoof bath provides the claws with an environment that reduces or helps to prevent care- and hygiene-related causes of stress.

Putrefactive germs and pathogens can generally be displaced by a healthy stable and skin flora.

Mortellaro in cows
In cows kept in free-stall barns, Mortellaro is often a major health issue and therefore soon a financial problem for the owner.

What are the main causes:
1. Moisture in the barn leads to rotting manure and slurry. Slurry rots anaerobically and is an ideal breeding ground for putrefactive germs, which can become a problem especially on moist and softened skin areas.
2. Metabolic overload in cows also leads to cows trying to detoxify through the skin. This results in cheese-like secretions. These secretions are an ideal nutrient medium for putrefactive bacteria. If the affected skin areas are not sufficiently cared for, inflammation quickly occurs, which can spread through the barn like an epidemic.
The causes of such occurrences are therefore primarily inadequate care and incorrect feeding and housing conditions.

Claw Gel is therefore a product for individual animal care that has been almost indispensable in the hoof sector for more than 14 years.
2. MortellaroVet ProBiotic is a further development based on fermented herbs that have a strong germ-displacing effect and thus form a natural competitor to harmful germs. The product is almost identical to cdSept and is already used for this purpose in dairy barns. Experience shows that use in the hoof bath is helpful for healthy claw and stable flora.
It is important to ensure that there are no residues of chemical products in the hoof bath, otherwise the effect of MortellaroVet ProBiotic will be limited. Therefore, use in a new hoof bath tray is recommended.
The otherwise typical problem of contamination by faeces in hoof bath trays is rather unproblematic when using MortellaroVet ProBiotic. The organic input in the hoof bath, through the use of MortellaroVet ProBiotic, itself becomes a medium for beneficial germs and is thus able to displace the existing harmful germs.
For treating the walkways, HuminoVet powder should occasionally be scattered. HuminoVet initiates the natural composting process, which helps to prevent floating layers in the slurry and at the same time massively displaces putrefactive and thus pathogenic germs as well as putrefaction germs that promote Mortellaro.
From a nutritional perspective, the metabolism can be intensively relieved by MicroAgrar MK. The cost-effectiveness of MicroAgrar MK is already ensured by promoting feed utilisation and thus the utilisation of roughage.

Important: Do not use any aids (syringes, watering cans, sprayers, ...) in which chemical disinfectants have previously been used. These can destroy or reduce the effect of MortellaroVet ProBiotic.
MortellaroVet ProBiotic is a purely biological product produced by natural fermentation. It is non-toxic and 100% biodegradable and can therefore also be used in occupied barns.

Composition: fermented plant extract from wild and culinary herbs

Recommended use: Hoof bath: If required, 5% solution. Add 1% per pass until a positive base flora is established. For continuous use, 1–2% solution and add 0.5–1% as required.
Hoof washing system: 5% solution until a positive base flora is established. For continuous use, 1% solution.
In general, supporting the aerobic humification of the stable flora by using HuminoVet powder is recommended.
