Full-body X-ray phantom
This worldwide unique phantom offers first-class training opportunities for positioning and alignment techniques in projection radiography and is, in fact, part of the basic equipment of every X-ray training facility. The phantom contains a natural human skeleton as well as the outlines of the larynx, lungs, heart and kidneys (the organs appear as shadows on the X-ray images), enabling real X-ray images to be taken with the phantom just as with a patient. Thanks to the use of a real skeleton, guiding anatomical structures in the bone can be identified, which is not possible with plastic skeletons. During assembly of the phantom, particular emphasis is placed on the representation of the joint spaces. The joints are mounted fully movable and allow positioning in standard X-ray positions (e.g. frog-leg position, pronation and supination of the forearm). The arms can be moved upwards, meaning the model can also be used for all bony examinations in CT. Each phantom is a handcrafted unique piece and may vary in size and design. Depending on the model, pathological findings may be present; the external appearance may differ depending on the size of the model. The new version of this model has been completely revised in collaboration with a renowned German school for medical radiology technologists and meets all training requirements. This phantom is sold only upon proof of medical use. Life-size.
