In cases of life-threatening obstruction of the upper airways, especially in a non-clinical setting, performing a tracheotomy can ensure the dog’s survival. Based on countless requests from military and emergency customers, we are pleased to introduce the Louie tracheotomy model. A cricothyrotomy can also be performed on the model. Incisions can be made into the skin layers, the cricothyroid ligament, and between the tracheal rings.
Louie is supplied with three replaceable tracheas and skins, and an artificial lung. Incisions and sutures can be performed on the skins and on the trachea. Additional skins and tracheas can be ordered separately. The model does not include artificial blood.
