Lower limb – deep dissection of the left pelvis and thigh
This 3D-printed specimen shows a deep dissection of the left pelvis and thigh to demonstrate the course of the femoral artery and the sciatic nerve from their proximal origin to the mid-shaft of the femur. Cranially, the pelvis has been sectioned along the midsagittal plane and the pelvic viscera have been removed. In the pelvis, the coccygeus muscle runs between the sacrum and the ischial spine; the obturator artery and obturator nerve enter the obturator foramen above the obturator membrane.
