This osteoporosis model consists of three vertebral bodies, sectioned in the median plane and featuring intervertebral discs. On the cut surface of the upper vertebra, a healthy bone structure is shown, while the middle level displays an osteoporotic bone structure. The lower vertebra shows advanced osteoporosis with compressed superior and inferior endplates, also known as a “fish vertebra”. The osteoporotic vertebral bones have a significantly reduced density. The osteoporosis model is mounted on a stable base, and for detailed examination the individual vertebral bodies can be removed from the stand.
