With the S-Monovette® you can choose between aspiration or vacuum technique. The S-Monovette® blood collection system gives you complete freedom in selecting the collection method. You can draw blood using the aspiration or vacuum principle, or combine the advantages of both techniques. For multiple sampling, venepuncture and the initial blood draw can be performed with the needle attached using the aspiration technique. Thanks to the high transparency of the screw cap, you benefit from very good puncture control. The S-Monovettes can then be filled using the vacuum principle, provided the venous conditions allow it. The needle remains in the vein while changing the S-Monovettes and enables drip-free multiple sampling. Combination options: For blood collection from Luer connections, the S-Monovette® can be combined with the Multi-Adapter. For blood collection with a winged needle, the Multifly® needle with fully assembled adapter is available and can be connected directly to the S-Monovette®. Citrate serves as an anticoagulant for carrying out all coagulation tests and is pre-dosed as a 0.106 molar solution. When the S-Monovettes or sample tubes are filled completely, the specified mixing ratio of 1:10 (1 part citrate solution + 9 parts blood) is maintained exactly. The citrate plasma obtained is suitable for all coagulation tests.
