SMITH&NEPHEW Opsite Flexifix waterproof plaster

OPSITE Flexifix is a transparent film on a roll for securing primary wound dressings. The film is waterproof and allows the patient to shower with the dressing in place. The polyurethane film provides an effective barrier against bacteria, thereby minimising the risk of external infection. Its high water vapour permeability allows the skin to breathe and helps prevent skin maceration. The film is highly conformable and stretchable to increase patient comfort. The surface of Opsite Flexifix is particularly smooth, so the film reduces the transfer of shear forces to the skin. This makes the film well suited for the prevention of pressure ulcers.
