This premium model of a human skull, in addition to the detailed reproduction of the skull structures, focuses specifically on the teeth and jaws and is therefore the perfect teaching and demonstration aid for dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. The front half of the upper and lower jaw can be removed, providing a clear view of the teeth with roots—on one side with nerves and blood vessels—as well as the maxillary sinuses. The skull is not only suitable as an ideal aid for learning anatomy, but also as an explanatory tool for maxillofacial surgery and implantology.

This special version is designed to illustrate CMD syndrome. In craniomandibular dysfunction, there is a functional disorder in the interaction between the temporomandibular joints, the masticatory muscles and the teeth. Shown are enamel wear caused by grinding, wear of the articular disc, as well as the relevant masticatory muscles: M. masseter, pars superficialis, pars profundus, and the relatively newly identified pars coronoidea. All three muscles are removable.
