Training arm for intravenous injection
The injection model is intended to give trainee doctors and medical support staff the opportunity to practise intravenous injection techniques. The model is made of soft plastic with replaceable skin and a replaceable injection area in the crook of the elbow, in which the median cubital vein (V. mediana cubiti) is replicated by a tube. Under the skin, the vein is visible and can also be easily palpated. In the model, the tension of the skin and the characteristics of the engorged vein are reproduced to a largely realistic extent. The model is particularly distinguished by the option to realistically apply a tourniquet and, by applying lubricant, to simulate a rolling vein. Tested in tough day-to-day use with the German Armed Forces. All individual parts are available separately.
