With this tester, the fence and the energiser can be monitored very easily via an indicator light. Three very bright LEDs (light-emitting diodes) flash strongly when the fence voltage is above 3000 volts. Whether rope, polywire, tape or wire, the tester can be used anywhere and is attached with a clamp. It also offers the option of locating a fault along the fence line.
Checking the fence: Hook the fence tester onto the fence and press the brass tip lightly into the ground. A short circuit is simulated on the fence, the same situation as when an animal touches it.
Checking the electric fence energiser: Hold the hook and the brass tip to the energiser outputs; polarity does not need to be observed. You can immediately see the power output of the energiser.
