Knee model with endoprosthesis
This life-size knee model made of transparent plastic clearly demonstrates the position and function of a knee endoprosthesis. The replica prosthesis can be removed from the model and reinserted, allowing the procedure to be explained very clearly to the patient during consultation and pre-operative preparation. The endoprosthesis is made of metal and is approximately the same size and weight as a real prosthesis. Often, in cases of life-threatening obstruction of the upper airways—especially in a non-clinical setting—performing a tracheotomy can ensure the dog’s survival. Based on countless enquiries from military and emergency customers, we are pleased to introduce the Louie Tracheotomy Model. A cricothyrotomy can also be performed on the model. Incisions can be made through the skin layers, into the cricothyroid ligament, and between the tracheal rings.

Louie is supplied with three replaceable tracheas and skins, and an artificial lung. Incisions and suturing can be performed on the skins and on the trachea. Additional skins and tracheas can be ordered separately. The model does not include artificial blood.

Lower limb – deep dissection of the left pelvis and thigh
This 3D-printed specimen shows a deep dissection of the left pelvis and thigh to demonstrate the course of the femoral artery and the sciatic nerve from their proximal origin to the midshaft of the femur. Cranially, the pelvis was sectioned along the midsagittal plane and the pelvic viscera were removed. In the pelvis, the coccygeus muscle runs between the sacrum and the ischial spine; the obturator artery and the obturator nerve enter the obturator foramen above the obturator membrane.

LSAT Ver.2 Lung Auscultation Trainer
This unique trainer provides more efficient and effective lung auscultation training.

The patient’s physical status can be controlled via a touchscreen tablet. The simulator includes 36 patient cases with case information such as X-ray, CT and bronchoscopy images.

The torso has 7 anterior and 8 posterior auscultation sites that can be used with standard stethoscopes. This allows more than one student to auscultate at the same time. All sounds are classified according to American Thoracic Society guidelines. An integrated LED light indicates the inspiration and expiration phase and is synchronised with the sounds (can be switched off). Background heart sounds are available and can be volume-adjusted.

The system is supplied fully configured on a trolley (can be removed for use on a table). An automatic test routine checks all components when the device is switched on, ensuring malfunctions are ruled out.

This skull model is a cast of a real human child skull specimen and shows all anatomical structures in the highest level of detail. It was developed for students of anatomy, medicine, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology and dentistry. The skull is cut into complex sections and assembled with metal and magnetic connections.

The calvaria is opened and removable. Bony impressions of the superior sagittal sinus, transverse sinus and sigmoid sinus, as well as the meningeal vessels, are painted. The skull base is sagittally sectioned in such a way that, on one side, the cut passes through one cribriform plate and a further cut in the same plane passes through the other cribriform plate of the ethmoid bone, leaving the crista galli and the perpendicular plate as well as the entire nasal septum intact. The structures of the anterior, middle and posterior cranial fossae are easily accessible. The nasal cavity, the nasal concha, the septum, as well as the bony pharyngeal space and nasopharynx can be viewed directly. The nasal septum can be removed from the surrounding bony structures. The removable temporal bone shows a complete external auditory canal.

The maxilla and mandible show the structures of the dentition, the roots, the bony margin of the alveolar process, as well as dental nerves and vessels. On one side of the skull, the temporal bone has been left in situ. The other temporal bone is removable from the skull. Part of the mastoid process and the squamous part of the temporal bone, together with the mastoid antrum, can be removed and provide an unobstructed view of the inner ear. All three semicircular canals are visible, together with the course of the facial nerve, which runs posteriorly and then inferiorly and ultimately emerges through the stylomastoid foramen. The removable temporal bone shows a complete external auditory canal. An almost vertical cut through the mastoid process and then further inwards along the petrotympanic fissure divides the temporal bone, and the position of the tympanic membrane can be seen. The carotid canal and the cochlea are opened, showing the internal auditory canal, and the course of the facial nerve can be identified. The oval window, the semicircular canals and the opening of the tympanic cavity can be seen.

According to a WHO study, 1 in 10 babies is born prematurely. Birth with an extremely low birth weight (= 1,000 g) is still a medical emergency requiring special techniques and equipment.
