ARDAP Spot-On with the active ingredient Chrysanthemum (natural pyrethrum) from the chrysanthemum is a highly effective product for external use in cats. Directions for use:

A single application prevents infestation with ticks and fleas for up to 4 weeks. ARDAP Spot-On is a light, clear solution for application to the skin of cats. The dosage corresponds to the weight information on the packaging. The entire contents of the tube are applied. To do this, part the fur and drip the amount to be administered directly onto the skin in the neck area (see illustration). Ensure that the tube contents are applied to the neck in such a way that the cat cannot lick them off. The treatment may be repeated after two weeks if the active ingredient has been washed off by the cat. In multi-pet households, the animals should be separated after application until the product has dried to prevent them from grooming each other. Do not use in cats under three months of age. Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Cats with skin lesions, especially at the intended application site, should be excluded from treatment.

Important information:

Possible side effects:

The spot-on has a bitter taste. Therefore, intensive grooming by the cat and licking immediately after applying the solution may cause salivation. This is not a sign of poisoning and subsides after a few minutes without further treatment. If, during intensive grooming directly after application, the cat licks the product off, in very rare cases (exceptional cases, defined as fewer than 1 in 10,000 cats) restlessness, lethargy, tremors or other neurological symptoms may occur as a reaction to Chrysanthemum or the solvents. These symptoms are temporary (transient) and usually disappear after 24–48 hours. In very rare cases (fewer than 1 in 10,000 cats), a skin reaction may occur at the application site, such as temporary hair loss, redness, itching or inflammatory reactions. If you are unsure about the symptoms observed, please contact our customer service or your veterinarian.

Special precautions for the user:

Chrysanthemum and the solvents can, in very rare cases, cause skin sensitivity or temporary skin reactions such as irritation or tingling of the skin. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application and avoid contact with the eyes and the oral mucosa. If the user’s skin becomes contaminated, wash with soap and water. Wash hands thoroughly after use. The cat should not be stroked after application, especially in the neck area, until the treated area has dried. If the contents of the tube are accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. The treatment can be repeated if the previously treated dog has repeatedly been caught in heavy rain or has been in water. Pyrethrum is obtained as an extract from a chrysanthemum flower, which is largely grown and harvested in the Kenyan highlands. The insect-repelling and deterrent effect (repellent) has been known for millennia: even in ancient China and Persia, this active ingredient was demonstrably used and was widely known and popular for use on humans and animals as “Persian insect powder” or “Dalmatian insect powder”. The ARDAP tick and flea protection collar with the active ingredient pyrethrum from chrysanthemum is a highly effective aid for use on cats from 4 months of age. This special shampoo keeps ticks and fleas away thanks to its repellent effect; at the same time it cleans and smooths your pet’s coat. The coat remains fresh and hygienic. ARDAP tick shampoo is tough on ticks, but gentle on your pet. The ingredients contained in the shampoo work immediately after application. The interval between two applications should be 7 days. Directions for use:
Hold up the tip of the ear with one hand, fill the ear cup with Canosept Ear Cleaner warmed to hand temperature until the liquid level is visible. Gently squeeze the ear canal between thumb and forefinger and massage from bottom to top for approx. 1 minute. The dog will shake out excess ear cleaner together with dissolved earwax and dirt itself. Weekly application helps prevent ear canal infections.

Cats experience stress just like people do. Application:
